Anonymous asked: What is/are your reason(s) for maintaining two separate stores? Also, I find it slightly difficult to maneuver to your on-site store; could you add a link to make it more easily accessible?

Today’s experiment! I had to think of something I could do by myself, and this was what I came up with. If you’d like to see the raw footage, I’ve uploaded that as well!

This puppets idea is legitimately the most ridiculous thing in the world, but somehow the combination of it all — the way it combines design, creative problem-solving, arts & crafts, and improv — is so incredibly compelling to me.

lukegarratt asked: Hi Dave. I was reading the Independent the other day, because I am English and stuff, and saw an article on movie trailers; and I saw that they had a quote from a David Malki. As a long time reader of Wondermark, I wondered if this was you? If so, WHERE THE HELL IS THE EXCLAMATION POINT?! This in an outrage, and if nothing else, highly libelous. Call a lawyer. (Followup to An Open Letter to Amazon.com and also this question response.)
Amazon has declared that, thanks to a new California sales-tax law requiring it to collect tax on sales to California residents, it is terminating the accounts of all California affiliates, i.e. the people, entities, and in some cases whole companies who use referral links to Amazon products to earn commissions on sales...
redcloud asked: Re: Amazon
From the wording you quoted, it sounds like if they don't cancel the affiliate program for Californians, they will have to collect California sales tax for any customer that goes through a California-based referral link, EVEN IF THE CUSTOMER IS NOT IN CALIFORNIA! (Please forgive the all-caps -- I just needed to emphasize that part.)
This would no doubt confuse...

An Open Letter to Amazon.com
UPDATE: I HAVE ACTUALLY READ THE NEW LAW AND HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS
Re: Termination of Amazon Associates program for California residents
Dear Amazon,
Today you announced that you will be terminating Associates accounts (your affiliate marketing program) for all California residents. The reason is that California has passed a new law requiring sales tax to be charged on online purchases.
You...

The bad lunch that signified VICTORY.
I’m in Canada right now, waiting at the Calgary airport for my return flight to Los Angeles. I’m here early, and you can’t go through Customs until two hours before your flight, so I’m sitting here staring at a wall. That’s okay, though. I don’t mind waiting. Because I accomplished something amazing this afternoon, something I’ve never successfully managed...
