I am so, so pleased that the Dispatches from Wondermark Manor collected edition is nearly done. I began writing the series in 2006 and finished it in 2008, and all the individual volumes had sold out and gone out of print by 2009. I also commissioned an audiobook version of Volume 1 way back in 2009 that has yet to see the light of day! But finishing the definitive edition (which involved a fair amount of rewriting) has always had to move onto back burners as more pressing projects arose — and you can see how long it’s been. (For example.)
The most frustrating part was when it felt like it was only a single day’s worth of work away from being finished, and I never had a single day to give to it. Well, today was the day. I had lasagna for breakfast, ice cream for lunch, and finished the damn cover.
